Palo Santo Incense Sticks and Cones
Most incense sold as palo santo is a neutral bamboo stick dipped in synthetic fragrance. Ours is made from the wood itself: palo santo sawdust from our own cutting, bound with natural resin and rolled by hand.

Made from the wood, not from a fragrance
When we cut sticks, the sawdust is not waste. It is the raw material for this incense. That is why a stick of ours smells like burning palo santo and not like a perfumed approximation of it — because it is burning palo santo, pressed into a different shape.
The difference is easiest to notice at the end of a stick: synthetic incense fades into a chemical note, while wood-based incense keeps the same smell from first ember to last.
Sticks, cones or dhoop: what changes
Sticks burn for around 30 to 40 minutes and spread the smoke gently. They suit a room you are already sitting in.
Cones burn hotter and finish in 15 to 20 minutes, releasing more smoke in less time — better for clearing a space quickly before people arrive. Dhoop, the extruded stick with no bamboo core, is the most concentrated of the three: it is all combustible material, so a small piece goes a long way.
The blends, and why they exist
Palo santo on its own is sweet and resinous. Blended with myrrh it turns deeper and drier; with frankincense, brighter and more church-like; with sandalwood, rounder and creamier; with cinnamon or vanilla, warmer and closer to a household scent.
Every blend uses real plant material, not fragrance oil. Lavender is lavender, not a lavender note. This is also why the blends smell less loud than commercial incense — and why the smell does not stay in fabric for days.
Wholesale and private label
We manufacture incense for other brands under their own name and packaging. That includes the blend itself: if you want a specific ratio of palo santo to another botanical, we produce a sample before committing to a run.
Wholesale pricing applies from 100 units mixing any references in the catalogue, and private label starts at 1,000 units per reference. Tell us the format, the volume and the destination port and we return a landed cost within 24 hours.
Frequently asked questions
- Does this incense contain synthetic fragrance?
- No. It is made with palo santo powder from our own wood, natural binders and, in the blends, real botanicals. There is no fragrance oil in the formula.
- How many sticks are in a pack?
- Retail packs are normally 14 sticks. Cones come in packs of 20. Wholesale formats are quoted by the kilo or by the case.
- Which is stronger, sticks or cones?
- Cones. They burn hotter and release the same amount of material in about half the time, so the smoke is denser. For a small room, half a cone is usually enough.
