Sticks

Standard cut of about 10 cm; other lengths on request. Sold in 5 kg cases (a case is listed in the shop at US$150, US$30 per kilo) and by the sack for larger volumes.

Chips and shavings

Small pieces and cutting offcuts, the format used for loose incense blends, sachets and distillation.

Logs and larger pieces

Uncut wood for brands that process it themselves. Availability depends on what the forest gives each season: ask before planning a launch around it.

Retail packs

100 g packs and gift presentations under the Munay brand, or under yours from 1,000 units per reference.

What makes the wood good, and how we sort it

Bursera graveolens only develops its resin after the tree has died and spent years on the forest floor. Our wood has been down for three to four years before it is collected, which is why it is dense, dark-veined and aromatic when cut. Wood taken from living trees looks similar and smells of almost nothing; it is also illegal in Peru.

Every case is sorted by hand for resin content, colour and moisture before it is packed. If you need a particular length, a particular thickness or a mix of sticks and chips, say so when you ask for the quote: we cut to order.

Where it comes from

All our wood is collected around Las Lomas, in the Piura region of north-western Peru, by families who have been doing this work for generations. We work with them directly, without intermediaries, under an approved forest management plan and the SERFOR authorisation that appears on every document we send.

Documents that travel with every shipment

SERFOR forestry authorisation (Resolution No. 000418-2023), the forest transport guide for the batch, the SENASA phytosanitary certificate, commercial invoice and packing list. The exporter on every document is Munay Ki Peru SAC, RUC 20600767861 — the same company that collects the wood.

Wholesale terms

Wholesale pricing applies from 100 units, mixing any references in our catalogue. Private label starts at 1,000 units per reference. Smaller quantities are available at the listed shop prices.

Pricing depends on format, volume and destination, so we quote each order individually: tell us the format, the quantity and the destination port or address and we return a landed cost. We ship by air for small volumes and by sea from Callao for pallets and containers, on FOB, CIF or DDP terms depending on the market.
