Palo Santo wood and full moon cleansing ritual

Full moon cleansing ritual with Palo Santo

Our daily life unknowingly absorbs energy (both negative and positive) and we radiate it outwards. While it can occasionally be beneficial to reflect on our inner energies, it’s also important to let go of fears and self-criticism.

The full moon is an optimal opportunity to release unwanted energy and start anew.

A full moon cleansing done with fire and smoke affects our mental nature. When we light incense or incense, we activate our brain and unite our thoughts with the elemental force of air. With that in mind, here’s what we’ll need:

  • Palo Santo Sticks
  • A bowl
  • A list of thoughts or vows you would like to break and/or make

We start by burning a Palo Santo in a room where you feel comfortable and at peace. The room should be well ventilated to help disperse the smoke from your incense. Let’s chant the mantra of your choice for about 20 minutes to help clear your mind.

We will then focus on any energy that you would like to release. Be honest with yourself about whatever is negatively affecting your being, then tell that energy to disperse. Some people even like to write down these negative thoughts and burn them as a symbolic form of release.

It can be good for the soul to reflect on your thoughts and examine your mind. A regular full moon cleansing might be just what you need to practice self-awareness and revitalize your spirit.
